Your dentist will first do your smile analysis. This will include checking the shape and size of your teeth, how much they are inclined forwards and backwards, amount of crowding or gaps present, any chips in the teeth, their appearance in relation to the shape of your face, among others. Gender also influences the shape and size of the teeth; with females having rounder and smaller teeth.

The dentist then decides upon the various procedures that can be undertaken to make your smile more pleasing. Dentists are increasingly using software to show the final results beforehand. The process can be a combination of various procedures such as veneers, crowns, fillings, bleaching, etc. The patient can then decide upon the ‘Designer Smile’, which can take one or more sittings.
